Swimming and Diving Falls to Grinnell on Saturday

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa – The Coe College swimming and diving team competed in their second dual-meet of the season against Grinnell, Saturday afternoon in the Kohawk Natatorium. The Kohawks dropped to the Pioneers, the men with a score of 184.5-97.5, and the women with a score of 176-116.
 
The Kohawks won 12 individual events with seven swimmers placing first in more than one event. Sophomore Darby Manternach was dominant for Coe on Saturday, taking first in four events including the women's 50 freestyle and the 100 freestyle. She was also a member of the women's 4x200 medley relay and 4x200 freestyle relay. Senior Kohawk Quincy Markham tied with Grinnell's Christopher Zhang in the men's 200 freestyle with a finals time of 1:50.32.
