Cross Country Hosts Final Tune-Up Before A-R-C Championships

eCEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa - The Coe College cross country teams hosted Luther and Simpson for the fourth A-R-C Triangular race on Saturday afternoon at Seminole Valley Park. The Kohawks had a day full of personal bests which included a second-place finish for Kandice Kittinger, who finished four seconds behind top finisher, Amelia Hornseth of Luther College. Justin Phillips led the men's team, finishing just four seconds outside the top-10 with an 11th-place finish. With the performances, Kittinger moves into ninth-place all-time in Coe's history for the women's 6K while Phillips time is the fastest 8K by a Kohawk since 2011. Overall, Simpson took home the team title on the men's side as the Storm's Spencer Moon also won the individual title. Luther claimed the top spot in the women's race with Hornseth taking the individual title.
