The Kohawks opened the day with a back-and-forth match with UW-Oshkosh, falling just short in the opener. The Titans got off to a solid start in the match, picking up two victories in doubles play to hold the slight advantage heading into singles.
Victoria Montoya/Ella White recorded Coe's lone doubles victory with an 8-5 decision at #2 to put Coe on the board. The Kohawks and Titans went on to split the singles decisions 3-3, giving UW-Oshkosh the dual victory. Despite the loss, White,
Eliza Sundermann and
Michaela Pinto all posted individual wins for the Kohawks.
Augustana dominated in the second match of the day, knocking off Coe 9-0 thanks to an impressive singles performance. The Vikings opened with a sweep in doubles play, dropping just nine points in total. Their strong effort continued in singles, as Augustana won all six matches to complete the sweep of Coe.
Up next: The Kohawks will be back in action on Monday, March 9 when they host Concordia in their final match before a spring break trip to Florida.
