Game Facts
  • Coe got on the board first thanks to a layup from Jacob Robertson but Loras answered with back-to-back baskets to take an early 5-2 lead. The teams battled for a nearly five-minute stretch as Loras outscored Coe 9-7 during the frame to extend its lead to five with just under 13 minutes to play in the first. The hosts answered back, using an 8-2 spurt to flip the switch and take their first lead of the game at 17-16.
  • The squads continued to trade blows before the five-minute mark of the period as the Duhawks hung on to a one-point lead with 4:44 left in the frame. Loras had a strong close to the first half, ripping off a 7-2 run to grab a six-point lead heading into the break.
  • The lead evaporated immediately out of the half as the Kohawks scored the first 10 points of the period including 3s from Robertson and Sam Auen. Loras finally broke its scoreless stretch at the 17-minute mark of the period on a layup but it only momentarily stopped Coe. The Kohawks then took control of the game, using a 13-6 spurt to jump in front 48-39 with 13:16 left in the game.

The Kohawks then buckled down defensively and held the Duhawks scoreless for nearly the remainder of the game while hitting a few clutch free throws down the stretch to secure the victory.
