URBANDALE, Iowa - The Coe College women's tennis team defeated Northwestern (IA) on Friday afternoon 6-1 in a non-conference matchup. Coe got off to an excellent start, sweeping doubles competition while dropping just four sets overall. The Kohawks went on to dominate singles play, winning five of the six matches to ensure the victory. The win moves Coe to 8-8 overall and 3-3 in 2021. 
 
The Kohawks got off to a great start in doubles play winning all three matches. Coe's number two doubles, Emma Lassen and Mikayla Heath were particularly impressive as they won 8-0. The Kohawks continued their strong play only dropping one singles match. Eliza Sundermann was dominant in singles play as she won 6-0, 6-0 in the two position.
