Women’s Tennis Splits Two Matches to Open Campaign

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa - The Coe College women's tennis team split its season-opening matches on Saturday, falling 5-4 to Central in the morning before taking down Simpson 6-3 in the afternoon. The Kohawks got off to a good start in the match against the Dutch, winning two-of-three doubles matches but the Dutch stormed back in singles to edge the victory. Coe bounced back in the second match, again winning doubles 2-1 while winning four-of-six in the singles competition.
