INDIANOLA, Iowa - The Coe College men's cross country team turned in a solid performance at the American Rivers Conference Championships on Saturday afternoon, earning a seventh-place finish. The Kohawks were led by
Lewis Kleman and
Coe Booker who finished 43rd and 48th respectively, helping Coe finish ahead of Dubuque and Nebraska Wesleyan.
Jared Thoma was Coe's third runner across the line, earning 70th place with a time of 27:47.26. The seventh-place finish is the men's highest finish since 2016 when the A-R-C expanded to nine teams and fell just short of the conference record for the largest point total improvement.
Gad Kanago and
Tim Long also had solid days for the Kohawks, recording new overall and 8K bests respectively. Wartburg took home the team championship while the Knights' Christopher Collet claimed the top individual spot.
