CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa - The Coe College men's cross country team had a strong performance on Saturday, finishing fifth at Mount Mercy's Seminole Valley Stampede. The Kohawks, who finished in front of 15 other teams, were led by
Coe Booker who finished in ninth place. Booker, along with four other Kohawks, set a new personal best in the 8K, posting a time of 26:20.4.
Lewis Kleman was second across the line for Coe with a new PR of 26:49.6, good enough for 20th overall.
Jared Thoma made it three top-30 finishes for the team, earning 27th overall with a personal best of 27:00.1.
Tim Long, Philip Marerro and
Dexter Hein-Harrison all joined Booker, Kelman and Thoma, registering personal best marks during the race. Mount Mercy, the hosts, claimed the team title with a total score of 74.
