ORLANDO, FL. - The Coe College women's tennis team suffered a pair of defeats on Thursday afternoon in their final two matches of its spring break trip, falling 9-0 to #20 Denison University and 7-2 to Kalamazoo College. The Kohawks faced a tough test in the morning, falling in all three doubles matches before being blanked in singles. Coe bounced back for a pair of team points in its second match of the day as Madison Schultz helped claim both tallies. Schultz and her partner Jania Carter-Johnson teammed up and claimed an 8-4 victory at number two doubles before Schultz earned a 6-4, 6-1 victory at number one singles. The results drop Coe to 9-6 on the season while Denison and Kalamazoo improve to 5-2 and 1-5 overall.
