DUBUQUE, Iowa - The Coe College men's cross country team opened its season with a bang on Thursday afternoon, claiming the team and individual titles at Dubuque's Spartan Igniter.
Coe Booker claimed his first-ever individual collegiate title to pace the squad, taking first place out of 42 individuals. Four of the 11 Kohawks that competed finished inside the top-six overall, with
Jared Thoma, Gad Kanago and
Lewis Kleman took second, third and sixth place respectively. As a team, Coe racked up 29 points and finished atop the team leaderboard ahead of Dubuque (37) and Clarke (63).
