Bourbonnais, Ill. The Coe College men's cross country team cotinued its fall season on Friday evening, competing at the Midwest Classic hosted by Olivet Nazarene University.
Coe Booker stayed hot, fresh off his first collegiate victory, leading the Kohawk men with a time of 27:23.40, good for fifth-place overall. Teammates
Jared Thoma and
Lewis Kleman joined Booker inside the top 20, finishing 15th and 20th respectively after times of 28:17.90 and 28:30.70. Kleman set a new personal best in the 8K, beating his prior best by nearly 30 seconds.
Gad Kanago was the fourth Kohawk runner to place in the top 25, finishing 25th with a time of 28:48.50. As a team, the Kohawks finished fourth in the standings with 102 total points while the hosts, Olivet Nazarene took first with 21 total points.
