BOURBONNAIS, ILL. - The Coe College women's cross country team continued its fall season on Friday evening, competing at Olivet Nazarene's Midwest Classic race. The Kohawks totaled 143 team points, finishing fifth in the 11-team field. All seven athletes who competed for Coe turned in season-best marks, with
Crystal Burke leading the way with a 12th-place result. Burke posted a time of 21:40.80, over a one-minute improvement on her previous personal best 5K time.
Fiona Mahler was Coe's second athlete across the line, grabbing a 28th-place finish with a new personal best time of 24:13.10. Olivet Nazarene took home the team championship, finishing first with a final total of 19 points.
