CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa - The Coe College wrestling team posted a 3-1 record at Saturday's American Rivers Conference Duals hosted by Loras College. The Kohawks started the day with an upset victory, knocking off #9 Luther 31-13 before cruising to a 40-12 victory against Nebraska Wesleyan in the second match of the tournament. The lone loss for Coe came in the third match, dropping a 24-16 decision to #7 Loras College, the hosts of the duals. The Kohawks ended the day on top, securing the 3-1 record with a dominant 47-3 defeat of Simpson. The day was highlighted by numerous standout performances including a perfect 4-0 record from Cade Hornback who secured bonus points in two of his four wins. LJ Richardson also came up with an impressive victory for the Kohawks, defeating #10 Zeb Ginda of Loras College 6-3, earning his second win of the duals. Kaleb Reeves and Stone Cummins teamed up at heavyweight, each winning a pair of matches for the Kohawks as Reeves defeated a pair of ranked opponents to cap off the day. Jared Voss also went undefeated in three matches, earning a pair of victories by fall and one by medical forfeit. The results move Coe to 7-5 overall and 4-2 in the A-R-C with two conference duals remaining in the season.
