CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa - The Coe College women's tennis team played its final dual match of the fall on Saturday morning, defeating Central College 7-2 at the Clark Racquet Center. Coe began the match in dominant fashion, securing a perfect 3-0 record in doubles play.
Maddie Schultz and
Chloe Palmer picked up an 8-5 win at number one and were matched by
Courtney Carstensen and
Alliandra Hagness who won at number three by the same score.
Jania Carter-Johnson and
Maria Bello Escobar completed the sweep in doubles, earning an 8-6 decision at number two. Coe went on to continues its momentum in singles, earning four of six wins. Schultz, Hagness and Carstensen all picked up their second wins of the match while
Sophia Fain joined the group with her lone victory of the match.
