PELLA, Iowa - The Coe College women's triathlon team opened its 2023 season earlier this week competing against Central College in the Dutch Invitational. Meghan O'Connell paced the Kohawk team, finishing fifth in a field of seven athletes. The senior from Colorado crossed the finish line in 1:05.19, just over four minutes behind the fourth-place finisher. Avery Babcock and Aubrey Jones were the other two Coe athletes to finish the race, finishing in 1:17.17 and 1:20.12 respectively. Central's Addie Smith was the individual winner, taking first place with a time of 58:20.
 
Up next: The Kohawks return to action on Saturday, September 23 for the Millikin University College Cup in Decatur, Illinois.
