MANKATO, Minn. - The Coe College men's track & field team began its 2024 indoor schedule with a bang, finishing fourth at Minnesota State's Mark Schuck Open. The Kohawk men were led by a school-record breaking performance from
Lewis Kleman along with numerous other personal best marks throughout the competition. Kleman broke his own school record in the 3000m on Friday evening, posting a time of 8:35.97 to take first place in the race. Kleman also took second in the 1 Mile, posting a new personal-best time of 4:21.20 to take second overall and move into third place in Coe's history.
Paul Cory, Cole Kirkham, Gad Kanago and
Kade Kreinbring picked up individual top-eight finishes, contributing to the overall team scores. Two relay teams also picked up point-scoring finishes for Coe, as the 4x200m and DMR teams finished first and second respectively. Cory
, Isaiah Jakel, Isaiah Morgan and
LaDainian Linnear teamed up to take the top spot in the 4x200m while
Gad Kanago, Robert Hansen, Andrew Livaudais and
Jared Thoma placed second in the DMR.
