DECORAH, Iowa - The Coe College Swim & Dive teams competed on Friday at the second day of the American Rivers Conference championships. Coe's day two efforts were led by top individual finishes from
Margaret Rhodes and
Hollye Gutierrez and top relay finishes from the women's 200 medley relay and 800 free relay squads. Rhodes continued her impressive championship weekend with another school record on Friday, turning in a new Kohawk best mark in the 100 Fly. The Decorah native took first in the prelims in the morning and shaved over 2.5 seconds off her time in the finals, finishing in a record-setting 57.01. Gutierrez picked up Coe's other individual podium finish on Friday, placing third in the 100 Back. Her time of 1:03.20 moves her into eighth all-time at Coe, .09 seconds behind sixth. Rhodes

Valerie Gutierrez began the meet with Coe's first team medal of the evening, taking third in the 200 medley relay. Rhodes, Pirozek,
Hollye Gutierrez and
Natalie Thede then teamed up in the 800 free to end the evening, finishing third with a time of 8:19.68.
