CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa - The Coe College women's tennis team knocked of Division II Truman State University on Sunday at Clark Racquet Center, defeating the visiting Bulldogs 6-3. Coe got off to an excellent start in doubles play, getting wins from the doubles pairings of Maddie Schultz / Sophia Fain and Maria Bello Escobar / Chloe Palmer. Both pairings picked up 8-5 wins to earn team points, claiming decisions at number one and three respectively. The Kohawks concluded the strong effort in singles play, winning four of six matches to secure the decision. Schultz and Fain each earned their second wins of the match, claiming points at number one and two singles. Claudia Bilkey and Carlie Miller were the final Kohawk to win in singles play, taking a 6-4, 6-1 victory at number five and a 6-2, 6-1 win at number six. 
 
Up Next: The Kohawks return to competition in a few weeks, hosting Iowa Central at Clark Racquet Center on April 5 at 3 PM.
