DUBUQUE, Iowa - The Coe College baseball team stayed hot with its 10th straight win on Friday evening, defeating the Loras College Duhawks 12-2 in eight innings. The Kohawk offense continued its impressive form as of late, bashing out 20 hits including a perfect 4-for-4 night for
Ryan Thoreson. The Kohawk catcher laced an RBI double in the second to start the scoring and belted a three-run homer in the top of the third inning to put Coe up 6-0, a lead it never surrendered.
Caden Richards picked up his fourth win of the year thanks to another strong outing, allowing just two earned runs in 5.2 innings.
Trevor Morse worked the final seven outs of the game in relief of Richards, allowing just two hits and two walks in a scoreless effort. Thoreson was one of seven Kohawks to record multi-hit games, joined by
Jon Wille, Jake Brosius, Jack Allison, Tyce Johnson, Creighton Kreshel and
Austin Gomez.
