LINCOLN, Neb. - The Coe College men's track and field team was led by standout performances from
Lewis Kleman and
Chris Baker at last weekend's 2024 American Rivers Conference outdoor championships. Kleman and Baker led the team scoring for the Kohawks, combining for nine team points. Kleman secured a pair of top-eight finishes in the 1500 and 5000, placing sixth and seventh respectively with times of 3:54.17 and 15:26.29. Baker broke his own school record set earlier this season, finishing fifth overall with a toss of 56.70m in the hammer. Two of Coe's relay teams earned team points, finishing eighth in the 4x400 and 4x800 relays.
Isaiah Jakel, Robert Hansen, Cole Kirkham and
Jacob Schmit combined for a time of 3:35.81 in the 4x400 while
Jared Thoma, Gad Kanago, Andrew Livaudais and
Lewis Kleman finished the 4x800 in a time of 8:05.09.
