Baseball set for NCAA Tournament opener on Friday, May 17

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa - The Coe College baseball team is set to make its third appearance in five seasons at the NCAA DIII Tournament, opening the 2024 Regional Championships on Friday, May 17 with a matchup against Benedictine University out of the NACC. The 29-14 Kohawks, picked as the second seed in the UW-La Crosse regional, are joined by hosts UW-La Crosse and Bethel. The Eagles are the region's top seed, facing fourth-seeded Bethel in the opening game of the regional pod. 
 
UW-La Crosse Regional Schedule 
  • UW-La Crosse and Bethel will play at 11 a.m. and Coe will play Benedictine at 2:30 p.m. 
  • The regional follows a double-elimination format. The winning teams in the first round will play Saturday, May 18 at 11 a.m. while the losing teams from the first round will play May 18 at 2:30 p.m. The loser of the 11 a.m. game and the winner of the 2:30 p.m. game will play at 6:30 p.m.
  • The championship game is Sunday, May 19 at 11 a.m. If a second championship game is necessary it will be played 45 minutes following the conclusion of the first game on May 19.

Ticket Information
Tickets are $20.00 per adult and $15.00 per youth/senior/student for an all-session pass.  Tickets are $8.00 per adult and $6.00 per youth/senior/student for one day only.  The front gate to Copeland Park will open one hour prior to the start of the first game for spectators.
