CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa – The American Rivers Conference announced its 2025-26 Wrestling preseason coaches poll Wednesday. The Kohawk wrestling team was picked runner-up in the preseason poll, earning one first place vote and a total of 55 points. Coe, coming off its best NCAA finish in three seasons, welcomes back 2025 A-R-C Rookie of the Year, All-American and NCAA Region VI 125 pound champion
Brayden Parke to bolster a team that will need to replace three other all-Americans in the lineup.
Dresden Grimm, Ty Koedam, Kael Kurtz and
Kael Scranton also return as wrestlers who saw regular dual-meet action for the Kohawks in 2025-26.
The season begins in just over a month with an A-R-C dual against Central (11/13) in Pella before the annual Luther College Open (11/15) kicks off the tournament season. The Kohawks host their annual Coe Invite (11/22) before a short break and return to dual action for another A-R-C battle against Buena Vista (12/4) at Kohawk Arena. 2025 ends with another tournament at North Central (12/13) prior to the NWCA National Duals (1/9-10) in Cedar Falls to open 2026.
Coe hits the middle of its schedule with the Cornell Matman Invite (1/17) and A-R-C Duals (1/24) before closing out tournament action at the Duhawk Open (1/31). A battle of the league's top two preseason teams follows in Waverly at Wartburg (2/6) ahead of back-to-back home duals against Cornell (2/11) and Dubuque (2/13). The Kohawks begin the postseason run at the NCAA Region VI Championships (2/27-28) and look to punch their tickets for the NCAA DIII National Championships (3/13-14) in Cedar Rapids at the Alliant Energy Powerhouse.
