Men's Swimming & Diving picked fourth in A-R-C preseason coaches' poll

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa – The American Rivers Conference announced its 2025-26 Men's Swimming & Diving preseason coaches' poll Wednesday. The Coe College men's swimming team was picked fourth in the poll, earning seven total points while Luther earned 16 points as the league's favorite. Coe returns four all-conference performers from the 2024-25 season as Kamen Rangelov, Maxwell Deacon, Isaiah Lawshe and Giannino Coniglio will bolster a youthful squad that welcomes seven newcomers to the pool. Rangelov was the league's Male Rookie of the Year at the 2025 A-R-C Championships and will look to build upon a season where he posted an NCAA B Cut qualifying time in the 200 Breaststroke.

Coe's season begins this weekend with a home-opening dual meet against Illinois College (10/11) before an A-R-C dual matchup against Loras (10/24) to end October's action. The Kohawks then hit the road for an in-state dual at Grinnell (11/14) before the Luther College Invite (11/21-22) wraps up the 2025 portion of their schedule.

Coe opens 2026 with its second straight trip to California, competing with Whittier College (1/6) during the training trip out West. The Kohawks then compete in a triangular meet in Rock Island, taking on Monmouth College and host Augustana (1/10) to wrap up non-conference head-to-head competitions. Coe is in action at its final two-day meet the following weekend at Grinnell (1/16-17) before concluding A-R-C dual competition against Luther (1/31) at home and Simpson (2/7) on the road. The season culminates with the 2026 American Rivers Conference Championships, hosted by Luther College February 19, 20 and 21 in Decorah.
