GRINNELL, Iowa – The Coe College men's swimming & diving team took on in-state foe Grinnell College Friday evening, suffering a 187-86 defeat to the Pioneers. The Kohawk men turned in a strong performance despite the scoreline with numerous personal-best performances and a trio of event winners.
Edmund Hamann secured Coe's first win of the evening in the 100 Back, posting a time of 58.21 which was just shy of cracking the Kohawk top-10 list.
Maxwell Deacon followed a few events later, taking the top spot in the 200 Fly with a time of 2:10.26.
Kamen Rangelov rounded out the top finishes for the Kohawks in the 200 IM, recording a mark of 2:03.56 to claim the top spot.
Joshua Yi, Daniel Yi, Rangelov and
Reilly Espinosa filled up the team scoreboard for the Kohawks with four third-place finishes in the 1000 Free, 200 Fly, 50 Free and 500 Free.
