CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa — Coe College volleyball student-athletes Maggie Furlong and Kelsey Hansel picked up weekly honors from the American Rivers Conference Monday afternoon, being named the league's Female Athlete of the Week/Offensive Player of the Week and the Defensive Player of the Week. Furlong was a crucial piece of Coe's run to the A-R-C postseason title, totaling 26 kills across the semifinal and championship match. She had eight kills in an easy sweep of Simpson on Thursday evening and followed with a dominant 18-kill performance against Dubuque in the championship match where she hit .432 in 37 chances. Hansel anchored Coe's back line during the championship run, piling up 24 digs across the two matches. She started with seven digs against the Storm in the semifinal and then posted 17 digs against Dubuque and just one reception error.
