CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa — The Coe College men's basketball team ended 2025 and its non-conference schedule on a high note Tuesday afternoon, defeating the visiting University of Wisconsin Warhawks 86-73 at Kohawk Arena. Coe trailed early after a strong start from the visitors as UWW started hot to lead 12-7. Coe steadied the ship over the next few minutes and turned it on later in the half, ending the period on a 21-10 run. The Kohawks shot a staggering 66 percent in the opening frame and hit 7-of-11 from deep as the hosts led 54-35 at the break. Coe extended the advantage to start the second half, scoring 16 of the first 25 points to pull ahead 70-44 with 14:24 to play. Whitewater refused to give in despite the discrepancy on the scoreboard, fighting to pull within 13 with 3:19 to play.
Ryan Dolphin helped put the game on ice moments later, knocking down a clutch jumper to reestablish a 15-point lead which was large enough for Coe to see out.
Kanyon Bryte produced his best game as a Kohawk, recording his first career double-double with 18 points and 10 rebounds while adding three blocked shots.
Cooper Nailor paced the offense with 19 points on 5-of-10 shooting while
