WAVERLY, Iowa – Coe College men's track & field thrower
Chris Baker earned the program's first indoor all-conference honor since 2017 Saturday afternoon, finishing third in the weight throw on the second day of competition at the American Rivers Conference Championships. Baker, who rewrote the Coe record books during the regular season, turned in a heave of 17.62m in the championship, finishing .02m ahead of fourth-place. Coe's 4x400 relay team put an additional three points on the board for the Kohawks with a season-best performance as
Talon Sargent, Jabari Woodbury, Robert Hansen and
Ryan Hines dropped a time of 3:29.10 to place sixth in a tough field. Woodbury also ran a personal-best time of 52.47 in the 400m, finishing 14th overall.
