Baseball explodes for 18 runs to take down Ramapo

ORLANDO, Fl. – The Coe College baseball team picked up its first win in Florida Sunday afternoon, defeating Ramapo College 18-1 in seven innings. The Kohawks recorded 16 hits in the victory and got things started in the second inning, scoring five runs on four hits as CJ Johnson, Mitchell Eckardt and Jake Brosius produced run-scoring hits. The Kohawks added three in the fourth and continued to pour it on, tacking on two in the fifth, five in the sixth and three more in the seventh to cap off the offensive explosion. Caden Richards was excellent for Coe on the mound, tossing five innings while allowing one unearned run, four hits and two walks while striking out four batters.
