CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa - The Coe College baseball team is ranked inside top 20 of both major DIII polls, ranking 18th in the D3baseball.com poll and 19th in the ABCA Coaches Poll. The Kohawks went 4-2 last week, suffering defeats to Cornell to open the week and Wartburg to close out the week. Despite the losses, Coe raised its team batting average to .281, its highest of the season. The offensive week was led by a 12-1 victory over Wartburg where the Kohawks racked up 16 hits, one shy of their season high. Jack Walsh has continued to be one of the most dominant pitchers in all of DIII, ranking first in WHIP, third in ERA and hits per nine, 24th in strikeout-to-walk ratio and 25th in complete games. Coe also ranks 24th in the most-recent version of the NCAA DIII NPI ranking, the ranking system that will determine the field for the 2025 NCAA DIII Baseball Tournament following the regular season. The Kohawks are back in action this weekend for the final home series of 2025, welcoming Loras College for a three-game set on Friday, April 25 and Saturday, April 26. Friday's single game will begin at 3 PM with a doubleheader following on Saturday, beginning at 1 PM.
