CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa  – The Coe College women's tennis team picked up its first shutout of the 2025 season on Tuesday, taking down the Wartburg College Knights 7-0 at the Clark Racquet Center. The Kohawks opened the match with a 2-1 decision in doubles, securing the team point with wins at the top two spots. Alli Hagness / Sophia Fain picked up a 6-2 win at number two to start the competition and were followed by Addison Leasure / Aisha Gurung who claimed the team point with another 6-2 victory. Coe dominated the singles session, winning all six matches in straight sets including a 6-0, 6-0, victory from Gurung, her second in a row in singles. Fain, Leisure and Hagness all proceeded to pick up their second wins of the day while Alice Tysoe and Cosette Gaines completed the perfect sweep at number five and six.
