CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa – The Coe College women's tennis team secured its first regular season conference title since the 2015-16 season on Friday, defeating Buena Vista and Nebraska Wesleyan 7-0 to wrap up a perfect run through the league season. Addison Leasure / Aisha Gurung, Alice Tysoe / Alli Hagness and
Cosette Gaines / Alexa Cohen started the day with three wins. Coe proceeded to polish off the victory over the Beavers with six more wins in singles as, Gurung, Tysoe and Cohen picked up their second wins of the match while
Sophia Fain, Lucille Rozeboom and
Carlie Miller entered the lineup for their first victories. Leisure / Gurung, Tysoe / Hagness and Gaines / Fain started the second match of the day with another dominant effort, claming 6-1, 6-2 and 6-0 victories for the early lead. Fain, Leisure, Gurung, Tysoe, Hagness and Rozeboom represented the Kohawks in singles, wrapping up the perfect day and perfect season.
