CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa – Coe College baseball players Jack Walsh, Ryan Thoreson and Jon Wille earned postseason honors Tuesday, being honored by D3baseball.com and the American Baseball Coaches Association. Walsh took the headlines for Coe, being named the ABCA Region 9 pitcher of the year, while Thoreson and Wille earned first and third team honors, respectively. Additionally, Walsh, who is also an ABCA first-team member, was joined by Thoreson on the D3baseball.com All-Region 9 first team. Walsh becomes the first pitcher in program history to earn the region pitcher of the year award after a dominant junior season in which he amassed a program-record 102 strikeouts. He was 9-2 overall with a dominant 1.03 WHIP and 2.77 ERA as he logged 81.1 innings on the mound. Thoreson, the 2026 A-R-C Position Player of the Year, led Coe in batting average, slugging percentage, and on-base percentage while providing consistency behind the plate with 44 starts as the Kohawk backstop. Wille was close behind Thoreson in all major hitting categories, ranking second in average, slugging percentage, and on-base percentage as the junior had a team-high 15 doubles and 44 RBI.
