Taylor Abraham, was hired as the Coe College Cheer and Dance head coach in early 2021. Abraham, a graduate of Coe, is a certified cheer coach through USA cheer and ICCA. Taylor, who participated in cheerleading and tennis during her time at Coe, brings experience in dance competition at the highest levels around the Midwest. Since taking over at Coe, Abraham has helped develop a program that finished fourth in the dance pom division and dance hip hop standings at the 2022 A-R-C Cheer & Dance Invitational. In 2023, she helped the team earn numerous top ratings and three NDA Regional Championships at the Iowa Regional Competition. Coe competed at The College Classic in 2024, capping off another busy season at the National competition. The Kohawks took 11th place in the DIII Pom Discipline and also competed in Jazz and Hip Hop.
