Paxton Molinari joined the Coe men's basketball coaching staff in June of 2015 and was promoted to Associate Head Coach in 2019. Molinari came to Coe after spending the 2014-15 season as a graduate assistant at Benedictine College in Atchison, Kan. The Ravens went 24-9 on the year, as they qualified for the NAIA Division I National Championship Tournament.

Prior to his time at Benedictine, Molinari spent the 2013-14 season as the top assistant at Nebraska Wesleyan. The Prairie Wolves had four All-GPAC selections, as they led the nation in assists-to-turnovers ratio.

Molinari is a 2013 graduate of Luther College. During his time in Decorah, he spent three years as a student-assistant under Mark Franzen after his playing career was cut short. The Norse won two Iowa Conference regular-season championships during his time, as Franzen was named the IIAC Coach of the Year twice. Molinari also spent time assisting the USA Basketball Junior National Team, where he was on the support team for coaches Billy Donovan, Shaka Smart and Frank Martin.

Paxton also holds a master’s in business administration from Wayne State College. Molinari, and his wife Hanna, reside in Cedar Rapids with their son, Max and two dogs, Oakley and Ty.
