Randy joined the Coe staff after a two-year coaching stint at Hawkeye Community College, where he helped launch the new program. He also has coaching experience at the high school level, helping start a team at North Bend Central in North Bend, Neb. and leading it to six-straight state titles from 2014-2019. He also served as the Head Coach at Wayne State College in Wayne, Neb. for one year on a volunteer basis. He is a USBCÂ Silver level certified coach and a Dick Ritger level coach.

Dodge found his love for bowling when he began working at a bowling center at the age of 14 chasing pins. He then became a manager at a bowling center for eight years prior to purchasing the bowling center in North Bend, Neb., which he owned for 12 years until 2018. He then took the head coaching position at Hawkeye Community College, beginning in the fall of 2018 where he was in charge for two years.Â

Dodge was a key member of the bowling community throughout the state of Nebraska, serving on the Nebraska Youth Bowling Board Member for four years prior to becoming Chairman of the youth board in 2010, a position he held until 2018. He was also the Nebraska Bowling Proprietors Association President for three years from 2014-16 where he helped advance bowling centers throughout Nebraska. Dodge was named the Nebraska Bowling Proprietor of the Year in 2014 for his efforts. Was inducted into the Nebraska Bowling Hall of Fame in 2019. Dodge started and ran the Nebraska Bowling Youth Tour from 2015-2019 which included participants from five different states.Â
Since taking the reigns at Coe, Dodge has led both programs to national rankings and postseason appearances. The men's team earned a spot in the USBC Sectional Championships in 2021 while the women's team competed at the Collegiate Club Championships where the team won a pair of matches in the contenders bracket. In 2022-23, both the men's and women's team earned their way into the Collegiate Club Championships while the women secured their first-ever appearance at the USBC sectionals. Dodge and three Kohawk women bowlers were named finalists for the All-American and Coach of the Year awards following the 2022-23 campaign. 2023-24 netted more success for Dodge and the Kohawks, earning Coach of the Year honors at the 2024 Collegiate Club Nationals. Three Coe women were also named all-Americans, marking the second year in a row three athletes have earned all-American selections. Nine individuals made appearances at the USBC ISC Sectionals while the women's team earned a bid to the ITC Sectionals for the second season.Â
Dodge's teams continued to climb the ladder in 2024-25 as both teams were ranked in the USBC polls during the season. The women reached a program-high ranking of sixth in the National Collegiate Bowling Coaches' Association Team Poll and both programs earned bids to the USBC Sectional Championships. The women's program went on to claim the national championship at the Collegiate Club Championships for the first time in program history, earning the top seed in qualifying play before sweeping Illinois State, San Jose State and Purdue in the bracket matchups for the title. The men improved from not placing in 2024 and took seventh at the championship, finishing ninth in qualifying before bouncing back with four wins in the bracket matchups.Â
