Dutro, a 1982 graduate of Kansas State University, brings a long coaching history with him to Coe. Dutro served as a head coach at Cornell (1993-2000) and Fort Lewis College (2012-2017) and also coached the Iowa City West Boys cross country team to a runner-up finish in the state cross country championships. Dutro received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Secondary Education from Wichita State University in 1987. He received his Master of Arts degree in Physical Education from the University of Iowa in 1993. He previously earned an Associate of Arts degree in Liberal Arts from Butler County Community College in 1979.
