Diane Meyer

Diane Meyer was named head coach of the Kohawks in July, 2014, after 12 years as an assistant coach and recruiting coordinator for Coe. Coach Meyer took over for Bob Timmons, the winningest coach in school history and, at the time of his retirement, one of just three coaches in NCAA Division III history with over 900 career wins. Meyer had previously served as an assistant coach for Coe from 1994-97 under Mary Rausch. During her time as an assistant, the Kohawks won three Iowa Conference Championships, went to 11 NCAA Regional Championships and participated in two NCAA National Championship Series.

Since becoming head coach of the Kohawks, she has lead the team to four NCAA tournament appearances, two Conference Championships and she and her staff were named the Conference's Coaching Staff of the Year in 2018 and 2021. In her time at Coe, Meyer has coached over 30 all-conference players and numerous conference position player and pitcher of the year winners. During her stint, there have been 44 NFCA All- American Scholars, one Capital One (COSIDA) All-American and 14 All-Region Players which culminated into three NFCA All-Americans for the Kohawks.

A third baseman for the Kohawks from 1981–85, the Center Point native was a four-time All-Midwest Conference selection and also earned All-Midwest Region honors. Meyer was a team and offensive MVP and two-year captain for Coe. In 1999, she was inducted into the Coe College Athletic Hall of Fame and is a member of the Coe College Alumni Association.  

Coach Meyer was a member of the 1995 USA Slow Pitch Softball's National Championship Team also coached 10, 12 and 14-and-under teams in the Eby's/Cedar Rapids Blue Devils softball organization.
