The Dutchmen student-athletes flourished under Stroman’s guidance. The programs collectively produced six individual NCAA Division III All-Americans in the 800 and high jump, including one national champion, as well as 29 Middle Atlantic Conference champions in individual events he oversaw. Furthermore, a combined 39 indoor and outdoor school records were established during his tenure, and the women’s program won the 2014 Middle Atlantic Conference Indoor Track & Field title.

Prior to Lebanon Valley, Stroman coached in the same capacity on the scholastic level with the track & field programs at Chaska High School in Minnesota for three seasons. He helped the teams combine to break eight school records, and the boys team he previously ran for placed as high as ninth at the Minnesota State High School League Championships.

Stroman was also a standout student-athlete and former NCAA Division I All-American at the University of Minnesota, winning four Big Ten team titles with the Gophers and an NCAA bronze medal as part of its indoor distance medley relay in 2010. He specialized in running the 400, 600 and 800-meter distances as well as the 400-meter intermediate hurdles.
