Reuter joined the Kohawk baseball staff before the 2019 season as an assistant coach and recruiting coordinator after a standout four-year career at Coe as a pitcher and first basemen where he earned three All-Conference honors and and three All-Region nominations from 2012-2015. As a player he appeared in two NCAA regionals, earning all-tournament accolades in the 2015 Midwest regional while also being named a Coe Coe College Barron Bremner Award nominee in 2014. 

During his time at Coe, he had a career batting average of .353 (11th All-Time) in 467 at-bats (17th All-Time). At the plate, AJ racked up 165 hits (11th All-Time), 101 RBI (9th All-Time), 88 runs (20th All-Time) and 39 doubles (6th All-Time). On the mound, Reuter, made 44 appearances (10th All-Time) while pitching 180.0 total innings (13th All-Time). He posted six career saves (5th All-Time), 14 total wins (14th All-Time) and 112 strikeouts (19th All-Time) while finishing with an ERA of 3.35 (11th All-Time). 

Reuter, a Cedar Rapids resident, is a 2015 graduate of Coe College with a degree in Biology and Environmental Science. He remained at Coe after graduation and worked as an admissions counselor for two years.
