Gotto, a 2014 Coe alum, joined the staff in 2016 as the Head Assistant Coach of the wrestling team. During his time as a coach, 13 Kohawk wresters have achieved All-American status including two third-place finishers. As a student-athlete Gotto was a three-year starter and two-time All-American at 125 pounds. Gotto finished 6th in the 2012 NCAA Championships and was a National Runner-up placing 2nd at the 2013 NCAA Championships. He had a career record of 97-33.
Gotto hails from Epworth, Iowa, where he was a three-time State Qualifier and two-time State Placer; finishing seventh at 112 pounds and 3rd at 125 pounds for the Western Dubuque Bobcats with a high school record of 165-21.
Jimmy, who graduated with a strength and condition degree from Coe, also serves as an Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach for the Kohawks.
