Joelle joined the Kohawk Athletic staff in 2019 as an Assistant Athletics Director and Director of Auxiliary Services after earning her masters of arts from UNI. Rummel, who also earned her undergraduate degree from Northern Iowa assists the Athletic Director in overseeing daily operations of selected sports programs and the coordination of various administrative functions within the department including but not limited to: personal issues, budget management, NCAA compliance.
Joelle is also responsible for recruitment, growth and daily operations of the new Non-NCAA Varsity Sports: Archery, Clay Target, M/W Bowling & Triathlon. Rummel also is in charge of coordinating, scheduling and implementing all logistics for small- and large-scale events including all game-day operations which includes pre-game communication, setup/tear-down, personnel management, ticket taking & concessions.
Prior to joining Coe, Rummel served as the Student Life Recreation Coordinator at Hawkeye Community College from 2016-2019 where she trained, scheduled and supervised 10 student staff and four professional staff in a variety of areas including: front-desk ops., membership services, facilities, intramurals, instructional fitness and personal training.
Joelle lives in Cedar Rapids with her husband, boys, and dog, Blu.
