WAVERLY, Iowa. - The Coe College men's soccer team's win-streak was snapped by Wartburg on Wednesday night in a 5-0 loss. The result drops the Kohawks to 7-9 overall and 2-4 in the A-R-C. 
 
The Knights attack was immediate to start the evening, tallying three shots in the first seven minutes of the match. Wartburg opened the scoring in the ninth minute off of a corner kick as Kevin Duque scored his sixth goal of the season. The opportunities for Wartburg kept coming, adding one more goal prior to the halftime whistle.
 
The Knights picked up where they left off in the second half, adding another goal in the 55th minute to take a 3-0 lead. Coe responded to create a corner kick opportunity but no one was able to slot it home for the Kohawks. Wartburg added two more goals in the 67th and 86th minutes to secure the victory over Coe.  
 
Up next: Coe hosts Central on Saturday, October 26 at 6 p.m. in its final home game of the 2019 campaign.
