Box Score Mount Vernon, Iowa - The Kohawks defeated Cornell Wednedsay afternoon 8-1 to earn a point in the battle for the Bremner Cup. 

Coe got off to a good start in doubles playing winning two of the three doubles matches of go in to singles play with a lead. 

In singles play it was all Kohawks as they swept the Rams winning all six matches. Ella White won in straight sets as did Eliza Sundermann as singles fours and twos finished up first. Leading 4-1 Emma Lassen secured the Kohawk win with a straight set win in singles threes. 

In the singles ones Isabella Hoppenjans won in three sets. Victoria Montoya and Wenxia Sweeney won in straights for the Kohawks to finish out the singles sweep. 

The Kohawk victory evens the Bremner Cup competition at one apiece. Football hosts Cornell this Saturday, September 14th, in the next Bremner Cup matchup. 

Coe hosts Simpson College and Central College this Saturday.
