CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa - The Coe College women's tennis team fell 5-4 to Truman State on Sunday afternoon at Clark Racquet Center. The Kohawks took a slight lead into singles play but the Bulldogs completed the comeback in singles, winning five of the seven singles matches to secure the victory. 
 
Coe got off to a good start as Christine Puleo/Sophia Craig won 8-3 at #3 doubles and Ella White/Eliza Sundermann won 8-1 at #2 to put the Kohawks up 2-0 early on. The Bulldogs then won the final doubles match of the afternoon, 8-7 to halve the deficit heading into singles. Coe then won the opening singles match at #3 as Sundermann picked up a 6-2, 6-0 win but Truman State went on to win five of the final six matches of the day to pull off the come-from-behind victory. Despite the loss, Craig picked up a victory in singles, 7-6, 6-2, for her second win of the day.
 
Up next: The Kohawks return to the court on February 29 when they host Webster College and Central College at Clark Racquet Center at 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.
