CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa - The Coe College women's basketball team, which earned the fourth overall seed in the A-R-C postseason tournament will host Simpson College, tonight at 7 p.m. in the opening round of the tournament. The Kohawks, who finished 15-10 overall and 10-6 in the league ended the year with four wins in their last five games to earn to four seed and the home game. The matchup will be the third of the year with Coe winning 71-61 in December and 84-75 just two weeks ago.
Junior guards
Jackie Feldt and
Madeline Wilkins lead the offensive production for Coe, combining for nearly 30 points per game. Feldt, who posts 15.2 points, 5.7 rebounds, 2.9 assists, 1.8 steals and 1.3 blocks stuffs the stat sheet for the Kohawks while Wilkins is one of the leagues top 3-point shooters, converting the long ball at a 38.6 percent clip and hitting 3.3 3s per game. Overall, the contest will be a clash of styles as the Kohawks boast the second-best defense in the league, allowing just 61.8 points per game, but the Storm also score the second-most points in the A-R-C, averaging 81.6 points per game.
