IOWA CITY, Iowa – The Coe College triathlon teams continued its 2020 competition schedule at the Tri-Owa Indoor Triathlon hosted by the Unversity of Iowa on Sunday morning at its Campus Recreation and Wellness Center. Two Kohawks competed as Ian Hoover-Grinde and Zoe Bakken-Heck competed in the event which featured athletes from the University of Iowa, University of Minnesota, UW-Ea Claire, WashU and Newman University. 
 
Hoover-Grinde finished first in the men's field which had 31 total athletes as he finished more than two minutes ahead of the second-place finisher. He had the fastest times in all three segments of the race en route to his first-place finish. Bakken-Heck competed in her first-ever triathlon and finished in 12th-place out 21 athletes with a time of 53:18.0.
 
Up next: The squad will be back in action on April 3rd and 4th when they compete at the College Club Nationals in Tempe, Ariz.
