WAVERLY, Iowa - The Coe College men's soccer team suffered a defeat at Wartburg on Saturday afternoon, falling 5-0 to the Knights. Wartburg opened the scoring in the 19th minute of the match and added two more goals before the halftime break. Following the half, the Knights added two more goals to pad their lead as they cruised to the victory. The result drops the Kohawks to 1-8-2 on the season and 0-1-1 in league play while Wartburg improves to 3-4-2 and 1-1 in the A-R-C.

Match Facts:
- Wartburg started the game on top, recording five shots in the opening 15 minutes of the match but a shot from Randy Widmer in the 17th minute provided Coe its first chance.
- The Knights found the opening goal in the 19th minute as Caleb Halleran scored off an assist from Jack Palen to give Wartburg a 1-0 lead. The hosts scored two more goals before the end of the first period, tallying in the 34th and 41st minute as Halleran and Tanner Shields added to the lead.
- Jacob Konrardy had the final chance of the opening half, recording a shot in the 44th minute but his attempt was not on target.
- The Knights added to their lead early in the second half, as Edvin Rizvic scored just one minute and 15 seconds into the period to put Wartburg up 4-0. After nearly 40 minutes of scoreless action, Wartburg scored again, registering its fifth goal of the afternoon in the 82nd minute to end the scoring in the match.
