CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa - The Coe College women's soccer team dropped a conference match at Loras on Tuesday evening, falling 4-0 to the Duhawks. The Kohawks defense proved tough to crack in the opening period as the Duhawks scored their lone goal late in the first half after having numerous shots saved by Kohawk keeper Alex Montalbano. No. 9 Loras added three insurance goals in the opening 25-plus minutes of the second half to stretch its lead to a comfortable margin. With the loss, Coe ends the regular season with a record of 3-13-1 and 2-6 in the A-R-C while Loras moves to 16-0-1 overall and 8-0-0 in the league.

Match Facts

• Loras was on top early in the game, earning a pair of corners in the first ten minutes while also tallying five shots on goal which Montalbano kept out. The pressure continued to build for the hosts, as the Duhawks controlled the possession for a majority of the frame. The breakthrough came late in the half as Olivia Lansing scored from assists from Savannah Johnson and Brynn Jacobi.
• The Duhawks continued to press in the early portion of the second half, registering three shots in the first five minutes of the period. Loras made it 2-0 in the 51st minute as Emily Perhats netted for the hosts' thanks to an assist from Ryleigh O'Brien. Moments later, Loras added a third goal thanks to O'Brien, who added to her point total on the night. 
• Despite the deficit Coe continued to fight, attempting to build from the back as the Kohawks lone shot of the game came from Mackenzie Jones in the 68th minute but a save from Hannah Mirimanian kept Coe off the board. The final goal of the match came in the 69th minute as Lauren Riggle ended the scoring for Loras.
