Men’s Basketball Takes Down Edgewood 78-64 on Saturday

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa - The Coe College men's basketball team led wire-to-wire in a 78-64 victory over Edgewood College on Saturday afternoon at Kohawk Arena. The hosts jumped out to an early lead in the first half and led by 19 after the first-period thanks to six 3s in the frame. The Kohawks continued to control the game for a majority of the second half but a late run from the Eagles forced Coe to buckle down to secure the victory. Coe had a balanced scoring attack led by three players who reached double-figures as Ray Thrapp, Jacob Robertson and Jarad Kruse eclipsed the mark while the latter led the team with 15 points. The victory is the second straight for Coe which improves to 7-1 on the year while Edgewood drops to 0-4 overall.
