After a slow start for both offenses, Coe began the scoring in the top of the third. After
James VanHooser led off the inning with a single,
Isaac Evans reached on an error to put pressure on the Dutch.
Jacob Henry successfully sacrificed himself to move VanHooser and Evans into scoring position. Evans walked and stole second to start the inning and later scored on a throwing error by the Dutch catcher.
The Kohawks again took advantage of a Central mistake, as LeGrand scored on a wild pitch to make the score 3-0. Starting pitcher
TJ Deardorff continued to cruise, shutting down the Dutch again in the bottom of the fifth, setting the stage for his offense. The Kohawks struck again in the top of the sixth, adding two more to their total thanks to RBIs from
Creighton Kreshel and Evans. Deardorff returned to the mound for the sixth and seventh, working back-to-back 1-2-3 innings to lock up the complete game and the victory.
GAME 2

The Kohawks got on the board from the jump in the second game, using a two-out rally in the first inning to take a 3-0 lead. With two outs, LeGrand singled and scored after Deardorff doubled in the next plate appearance for the Kohawks.
TJ Johnson then singled to keep the inning alive and Rausch followed suit with a two-RBI double, scoring
